"Our July concept was all about crystals and mindfulness, and our designers wanted to invoke a feeling of calm in every piece," explains Bari Shore, White + Warren Director of Product. “When we learned that our mill in Italy offers a jade blend yarn embedded with nano-particles of jade stones, we were thrilled."

Often considered the lucky charms of the crystal world, jade stones are associated with wealth and prosperity. The added ability of this fabric to provide literal cooling felt like a natural fit; in the heat of summer, these knits are no-brainers. "These are the sweaters that will keep anyone cool," says Shore.

The yarn can be seen (and felt) in our Cinch Waist Crewneck and Striped Open V Neck. The ultra-soft knits are instant outfit-makers—the Cinch Waist Crewneck can be tied tightly for more drama, or loosely for a subtle effect, while the Striped Open V Neck has an easy open neckline, classic stripes, and voluminous sleeves that gather at the cuff. We love both pieces with shorts, white jeans—or really any pants you have in your summer rotation.

The cooling effect from the jade lasts the lifetime of the garment, and, perhaps most importantly, the pieces are machine-washable. "That was really important for us, and for our customers," says Shore.
